St. Thomas Cancer Specialists and St. Croix Cancer Specialists are medical oncology practices serving the Virgin Islands. Our team includes a board certified Medical Oncology, Hematology, and Internal Medicine Physicians working together with oncology certified Nurse Practitioners, Oncology certified Registered Nurses and in-house phlebotomy/lab services.
Our team routinely coordinates with off island and stateside physicians to develop and follow treatment plans providing you with the most advanced therapies and treatment options available anywhere. We practice personalized medicine and routinely implement genomic testing of tumors to come up with a personalized cancer care plan that may involve chemotherapy infusions, pills or hormone therapy

infusion services for most intravenous (iv) medications with referrals from outside specialists (rheumatology, neurology, etc.)
Our dedicated infusion services extend beyond oncology to accommodate various intravenous medications. Catering to referrals from specialists such as rheumatologists and neurologists, our established infusion center seamlessly administers vital IV treatments such as Inflectra (infliximab), Actemra (tocilizumab), and Krystexxa (pegloticase) — to name a few. Given the lack of other infusion centers, our stable and proficient infusion area readily welcomes patients in our community requiring diverse IV therapies, so you can be treated right here at home for all of your healthcare needs.

infusaport maintenance
An Infusaport is a small medical device implanted under the skin, connected to a catheter that leads into a major vein. Patients, especially those undergoing chemotherapy or with poor venous access, rely on these ports for consistent and less traumatic administration of medications. At St. Thomas & St. Croix Cancer Specialists, we understand the significance of Infusaport maintenance. Our monthly flushing and meticulous care post-implantation, overseen by our specialized team, ensure their optimal functionality.
Given the need for sterile procedures and specialized care, our in-house maintenance guarantees the highest standards of cleanliness and expertise, minimizing infection risks and complications. This dedicated approach ensures that patients relying on these ports experience uninterrupted, comfortable, and effective administration of essential treatments, supporting their overall well-being during their cancer journey.
sickle cell pain maintenance and immunotherapy
As part of our hematology unit, we provide comprehensive sickle cell pain maintenance and immunotherapy services. Tailored for our patients, we offer IV hydration and pain medication. Crizanlizumab is a relatively new monoclonal antibody that is administered via IV once monthly and helps to prevent crises, which we are now proud to offer at our clinic.
We aim to prevent hospital stays, alleviating strain on our limited medical resources and easing ER congestion. Our approach ensures swift, effective care, keeping patients out of long ER wait times for treatments available in our dedicated outpatient setting, supporting our community's well-being.

We provide comprehensive lab and phlebotomy services, catering to all blood and urine testing needs. Our in-house capabilities include rapid Complete Blood Counts (CBCs), offering results within minutes for immediate assessments.
